July is coming in a few days and with it our most patriotic day, the 4th of July is one of the most celebrated holidays here in the U.S it marks the start of our independence as free people. Millions of people reunite over the cities of our country to take part in this celebration. Many parades, public and private events take place along this date. These are some of the events that will be taking place here in Houston, Texas.

This year Houston will celebrate more than three decades of July 4th music and fireworks on Buffalo Bayou. The city’s signature tribute to patriotism the CITGO Freedom Over Texas, returns with new live music and spectacular fireworks, between the performers, are included Cupid & the Dance Party Express, The Mavericks and Chris young. As is tradition, the evening will conclude with a spectacular blast of fireworks thanks to CITGO who has provided the finale since 2015.
Join this Family Fun Run for kids, strollers, and pups benefiting Be An Angel. Beat the heat starting at 7:30 a.m. on July 4th at Karbach Brewery to kick off this first time 4th of July family event. What better way to start your day than with a little exercise and family fun before the fireworks later in the day. Karbach Brewery is generously donating one beer per person, 21 and over! PLUS the first 500 registrants will receive a free karbach pint glass!!! Participants will receive a technical shirt and a fun, festive surprise courtesy of TXU Energy! There will be live music, beer, food and lots of entertainment for families including dogs at the Freedom Celebration at 9:30 a.m.!
The Excellence ER is planning an event this 4th of July where they are offering live music, petting zoo, moonwalk, pony rides games, various activities and local vendors if your children are excited to celebrate this day this is a good choice to maintain the little one happy all day long.
