The Escape Hunt Experience is a fantastic global entertainment franchise offering unique ‘escape the room’ adventures to the public and corporate clients all over the world.
One of the favorite museums is the Menil Collection. Is highly recommended visiting any of its permanent exhibitions, as well as the new building for drawing classes, Menil Drawing Institute. In this area you can also walk to two chapels that are very worthwhile. The first is called Rothko Chapel, a spiritual space surrounded by immense paintings by artist Mark Rothko. The second one is called Byzantine Fresco Chapel, a very interesting building with itinerant artistic installations.
Also you have to enjoy one of the shows in the Theater District that have become a tradition for several years at the majestic Wortham Theater after a year of flooding due to Hurricane Harvey And the second, the Alley Theater to the delight of all its viewers.
And of course to eat there are several options on Houston Avenue, a pedestrian street in this same area that was recently remodeled. Houston is well known for it's barbecue and grilled flavors, one of our favorite is Pappas Bar-B-Q, With 3 locations around the city. Pappas has a complete menu with that rich spicy flavor and specific days promotions you cant miss.
Another option is the BrisketHouse located at Uptown Galleria,from the chicken to the beff rib, to even the sweet potatos it is a total heaven grill.
