Due to the COVID-19, we need to be socially responsible and stay safe. This way, we prove that we care not only about ourselves, but also about everyone around us that we love deeply. Even though we are at home, we can still enjoy these times to spend time with the people we love the most, and Houston offers you some options that are great if you need to buy something without going outside your house.
Art is such an important part of life for people around the world. Art is everywhere, and it speaks to you, no matter which language the artist who did it speaks. It is universal and there are many places around the world that are dedicated to delivering art to the people and getting them to appreciate every single expression beneath it.
Valentine’s Day for everyone sounds like a day for couples, but the truth is that it’s not only for that: it’s a special day to go out and celebrate your friendship, how much you love your family or just simply celebrate your relationship or your self-love; love is love, in each way, valentine’s day is the day when love just pops out. During February 13th, 14th, and 15th, Houston has some activities planned so you can join in alone or with a partner. Note: you need to bring your own mat! As a part of this exercise sessions, on February 14th there’s also an activity called ‘‘make your heart race!’’, in which you will have a High-Intensity Interval Training from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, the class will be held outside and layer up to keep warm until you build up some heat. On February 14th and the 15th, you can also attend the ‘‘serenate the single’’ activity in which you can go with your couple or alone and have fun with karaoke and cheeky songs! In this event, you can be a serenader or be serenaded! It is hosted by Tifa Tittlywinks, and it will include prizes for the best singers and gifts for the serenaded, adding a lot of laughs from the crowd. This event is totally free and you can reserve your table since now, located in The West End - A Public House 5320 Westheimer Rd. What a great way to spend your Valentine’s Day! Magic is everywhere when it’s December. The holidays are a great time of the year to think about everything that you are grateful for that has happened in the year that is soon to end, and to give gifts to those who you care about. Just like everywhere else, Houston has the most magical places for you to spend the holidays, including New Year’s Eve.
December already started, this month for many people is all about buying gifts for their loved ones. However, for the Uptown family, this is a moment for union and remembering that what makes a good team is working as a big family. This time of year we must remember that we are not who we are without our family and friends, they are our biggest support and without them, we wouldn’t be in the place that we are right now.
