Before Halloween, it was a sign of fear, caution, and care when it comes to being in the streets in the old world, but in modern times these orthodox practices have been left behind and now it is celebrated as a festive day that can easily be described with fun and originality.

Halloween is a celebration on the night of October 31. Children wear costumes and go to people's homes saying "Trick or treat!" to ask for candy and people give it to them. The suggestion is: "Give me a treat or I will play a trick on you." People mainly dress up as ghosts, witches, or other scary things for Halloween.

The popularity of Halloween is growing exponentially. Americans spend over $5 billion dollars annually on Halloween, making it the country’s second largest commercial holiday. In addition, a quarter of all annual candy sales occur during the Halloween season in the United States. What is it about Halloween that makes October 31 so popular? Something spooky this way comes to the Children’s Museum of Houston! A myriad of magic, mystery, and monsters have maneuvered their way into the Museum for three weeks of Halloween! Come to partake in spine-tingling experiments, spirit-lifting activities and slime-filled fun during this “ Halloween Monster Mayhem” from Oct. 13rd to 31th. Meander your way through the Museum in search of goblins, goodies, and goo!

Move your bones to funky tunes at the spooktacular Halloween Monster Mash Bash on Oct. 31.
Howl at the moon while you bask in Houston’s ultimate Halloween party for kids. trick-or-treat the night away. Be sure to come dressed in your most boo-tiful or frightfully freaky costume!
